Frog Soup

It is said that if you placed a live frog in a pot of water and slowly raise the temperature, theoretically the frog would not jump out and would be boiled to death. Although I have not tried this for myself yet, it does seems plausible.

Lately though, it appears this experiment is being conducted on us the American public and it has been for many years. We are being told that what we believe to be true, is a lie, and that we thought was a lie, is actually the truth. I don't think I need to give specific examples because you've probably already suspected it, and you are feeling it right now.

The good news is, we are not frogs. We are human beings and we know something is just not right. We need to make a choice, do we jump or do we merely become another batch of someone's Frog Soup.

The Choice Is Ours

We enter this world with nothing, and we leave with nothing. What we do in the meantime is entirely by our own choosing. We all have the talent, ability and ample opportunity to achieve great things. Nevertheless, there are those who blame others for their perceived misfortune and thereby accomplish nothing. However, if we take responsibility and control of our lives, we can attain anything our hearts desire.

A recent letter to ConAgra foods concerning Chef Boyardee products

I know this is a little off topic, but I saw this letter that was sent to ConAgra foods, makers of Chef Boyardee products. I thought it would demonstrate the repercussions a company faces when they take for granted brand loyalty while ignoring quality and their customers while focusing solely on cost reduction.

"Congratulations I've never seen a company try so hard to drive customers away from their products the way ConAgra has driven my family and I away from the Chef Boyardee brand. I grew up eating Chef Boyardee meals and I loved them, but you have managed to destroy what was left of the original product line and I believe they are gone forever. If Hector Boiardi were alive today he would probably change his name out of embarrassment. I hate to say it, but goodbye or not so good buy. I would wish you luck but I would be lying."

Always Remember This! Market share is never taken away, It is always given away.

The best business in the world

I'm not talking about the oldest profession, actually that would be agriculture, but we'll save that for another article. Basically there are really only two ways to create wealth; they are as a business owner or as an investor. Some would argue that you could marry into wealth or inherit it, but that's not creating wealth, that is earning money which I described in my earlier post, "The difference between being rich or wealthy". Of course both investing and business can be broken down into many different categories that go way beyond the scope of this article, so I will concentrate on what I deem the best business in the world.

Imagine a business where you have no customers, no employees, low start-up costs, no overhead, a business you can operate from home and keep all the profits, well after the government takes their share. What is this magical business?  The stock market of course, I know some of you may have felt the wind go out of your sails just now because if it were the best business in the world it would be super simple.

I won't lie; learning anything different is never easy. Just like riding a unicycle on a tight rope while juggling flaming chainsaws and singing the Star-Spangled Banner in Swahili is very difficult, until you learn how. Really trading the stock market is actually very simple once you have a good system in place, the hard part is getting your emotions and your mind in check because your greatest and fiercest competitor is you. I have a real passion for trading and teaching the stock market, so I will be writing more on the subject. Feel free to post any comments or questions.

Who Do You Serve?

Freedom is an unalienable right bestowed upon all of us by our creator. So why do we sell ourselves into a lifetime of servitude to make others rich? Right now there are literally thousands of people willing to work for any one of us, ready to lend themselves into a life of servitude to make each of us wealthy, to give us the freedom to do whatever we want, whenever we want.
If our money is not working for us, we are working for money. Who do you serve?

"No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." Luke 16:13

The difference between being rich or wealthy

The difference between rich and wealth is simple, although both are relative terms based upon an individual's idea of wealth or riches, they are completely different. Arguably, riches are earned, whereas wealth is always created. If you win the lottery or inherit a large sum of money, you are said to be rich. When that money is exhausted you have no means of getting more.

On the other hand, if a wealthy person looses their money, they have the means to create more. The wealthy can create riches but a rich person cannot necessarily create wealth. A person of wealth possesses the knowledge, wisdom, emotional stability and determination as well as other traits and talents to create riches. A rich person possesses money.

Answer to the riddle of Wisdom and Knowledge

Question:
On the second birthday of a set of twins an incident occurred in which one of the twins gained knowledge and the other gained wisdom. What happened?

Answer:
One of the twins put his finger in the flame of the birthday candle, got slightly burned and instantly gained wisdom to never do that again. The other twin witnessing his brothers outburst from the pain, gained knowledge that sticking your finger in a flame is a bad idea.
